Idea generation
Day 1-3
I began with the J.C Leyendecker brief and to get my ideas rolling I created a few mood boards with a break down of his style as well as a lot of reference for what i would include.

I researched into Leyendecker himself and found that he was renowned for his depiction of homo-eroticism in his stereo typically beautiful males. I have never really created a aesthetically pleasing male character before and wanted to give it a go.
I decided on using the dishonoured style exaggerated features with sharp, contrasting facial features with Leyendecker's 1900's fashion and the males demeanour.
After my first day of sculpting I had blocked out the head sculpt here.

Day 3-5
I wanted to get all my shapes into 3dsmax/zbrush as blockouts first then once i was happy I would work into them more.

I was super unhappy with this design as it was incredibly simple and boring. I realised with such little time to alter the idea/concept I had in mind, I couldn't change the outfit completely and so I needed to add interesting accessories etc.
I got feedback that suspenders would be a good idea and i might make some gloves and/or a cane too.

I'm happy with the body and the face which i worked into more to have more angular features to represent the dishonoured style i was going for.

I feel like my strong point is sculpting faces but i really struggle to create clean clothing pieces and i'm still unsure of how to even do that.
