Unwrap & Texturing
Day 15-17
Retopping took me around 1 day on Monday, I only encountered a few problems and it barely took me any time at all as i had been re topping as i go as i wanted to get clean sculpts in ZBrush.
Here are my finished unwraps:
I'm not overly happy with my unwraps mostly due to the fact that there's a lot of wasted space. I think to fix this next time i will add more smaller more interesting props and accessories to fill out my character. For example, a belt, glasses, jewellery etc.
Day 18-21
Texturing is now finished on time for the hand in. I had a lot of issues including my baking and presenting in marmoset that delayed my time. My AO had a lot of errors which I cleaned up manually in Photoshop. When i imported my finished textures into marmoset i found for some reason my roughness textures where just completely wack with them all looking as if the map was completely black when they were actually mostly white. After fiddling around with them I realised it was because I had RMA packed and for some reason Marmoset didn't like that. After exporting just the roughness as its own map it worked perfectly.
