Texturing

Day 1-3

This week I have begun my texturing, I feel that I am definitely weak at texturing and it often makes my sculpt look far worse that it actually is because of this.

I gathered research for my oxidised bronze/copper armour texture and got to it.

I also did some colour research, the first samples are the most prominent colours in the concept. The smaller samples are the complementary colours that would accent the base colours.

This is where I am at with texturing with two days to go:

I have pretty much finished all the armour, minus a few tweaks. I have also finished the shoulder cloth/cloak. I am unsure of my colour choices as the concept is pretty much just all the same green fabric but I don't think that would look the best/most interesting in 3D form. So I am still experimenting with the inner cloth colour.

I will finish the sleeves and trousers tomorrow as well as some accessories. This means I will have the last day to put my character in marmoset and take some beauty shots for the hand in.

Day 3-5 Hand-in

Here is finished model and textures.

I am pretty happy with the overall end product, there are a few things i would change, such as the knee armour and the sleeves. I rushed the knee armour and the shape doesn't have great flow and so I would redo these if I am going to improve this project in the polish week.

I will also pose and rig the character and hopefully also model the sword and/or shield with the character.
