Polish Week (Final)
Texturing and Props
Day 1-3
For polish week I chose to finish and complete the 'Ash Walker' helmeted character. I decided this as even though I got 67 on my fish armour character, all the feedback the ash walker got was overall much better. The response was he was more visually interesting and portrayed more personality and story. So hopefully when finishing this character I will get a better grade than the other or else I missed out on a grade.
So this week I am finishing off the texturing, which I basically finished yesterday (day 2) other than some few minor tweaks that I need to change due to feedback I got from my personal tutor.
He said I need to:
Change the hue of the boots.
Correct the roughness wear on the glove and pockets.
Cloak on shoulders looks too flat, texturally.
Fake AO on the tunic where it meets the belt.
Metal of the helmet and gas canister need work - try experimenting with different finishes such as burnished levels or rough and polish, welded seams, heat seams and discolouration, hammering marks and wear and tear on the base surface metal.
On day 3 I have begun to make the prop which is the tall flood light staff.
I used WW2 flood lights for reference as it not only fits with style but also substance of the character.

Spent way too little time on it, completely rushed due to the fact I wanted it done for hand in but would preferably of spent an additional day on it perfecting the textures.
Rendered in substance so emissive isn't in yet and the opacity/reflections are off as I will edit them for marmoset not these renders.
